JTL version 5.3.x introduces a revamped user interface, enhancing navigation and usability for administrators and users alike. It streamlines inventory management with advanced batch processing capabilities, facilitating efficient handling of large product catalogs. Enhanced reporting functionalities provide deeper insights into sales performance and customer behavior, aiding decision-making processes. Performance optimizations and bug fixes ensure smoother operation and improved stability for seamless e-commerce experiences.

Further breaking changes:

• For users of a Nova child template: Changes to the critical SCSS are now automatically adopted in child templates. For this to happen, the child template must be manually adjusted again for the last time: https://build.jtl-shop.de/get/template/NOVAChild-v5-3-0.zip?vid=1709812692.
• New Favicon Types are now automatically generated SHOP-3360 – Here it may be necessary to upload the favicon again in the template settings.
• The UTF8 character set used in the database has been converted to a 4-byte character set. SHOP-5650 In order for the changes to become active, the migrations must be started once under “Troubleshooting > Diagnostics > Database structure – Details”. To do this, the maintenance mode must be left active.

Security update information for this build:

• We are not aware of any incidents related to the following security fixes, they are purely preventative measures.
• Security Fix: The version of the Bootstrap Select library has been increased to close a critical security vulnerability.
• Furthermore, all other Javascript libraries have been updated, as well as the Composer Dependencies, to close smaller security issues.
